Spring is here. The marketing is coming.

Hello Reader,

First week of spring. 🌸

Which means the marketing machine is about to kick into high gear.

You’ll start seeing it everywhere: “Spring cleaning!” “Declutter your home, declutter your mind!” “Organize your life!” “New season, new you!”

All designed to make you feel like your home isn’t clean enough, your systems aren’t organized enough, and you’re not doing enough to “refresh” your life.

Here’s what they don’t tell you:

Spring cleaning is just rebranded guilt, cleverly marketed to add more to your already overflowing mental load.

You're not less of a mother because you haven't sorted baby clothes by size into labelled boxes or separated Lego pieces into matching wicker baskets.

You’re just… mothering. Which is already a full-time job without adding “chief spring renewal officer” to your title.

So if you see those ads and feel that familiar pang of “I should be doing that too” - notice it. That’s marketing doing its job. Not you failing at yours. 💛

Anyway, here’s what’s actually happening this week 👇

Hey Reader, Last week we were on holiday. In large and jam-packed lift my twins were doing what my twins do, wanting to be carried at exactly the same time, by me. A woman next to me smiled. She had two daughters with her. The kind of smile that says, I see you. Then she noticed my son. "Oh, you have three?" I said, well actually four, and pointed to my daughter. She looked genuinely shocked. And then, in front of a full lift of strangers, she looked at me slowly drew her finger across her...

Hey Reader, Tomorrow is our monthly Mother's Coaching Circle. ✌️ After last month's session, Sophie (one of our members) left this comment in our members-only group: You see, Sophie had no idea what to expect from "coaching for mothers." Most people don't. Is it advice? Therapy? A support group? It's a space. 💛 A space to say the things you've been thinking but haven't said out loud. A space to rethink the stories you tell yourself about motherhood. A space where someone asks the questions...

Hey Reader, “I’m really enjoying nothing about being pregnant.” That’s what one of my students wrote to me this week. Another asked where that magical 2nd trimester glow everyone talks about is? The thick, blooming hair she's supposed to have by now? Another student's nausea came BACK at week 22 after it was supposed to disappear. And it’s not just pregnancy. On Sunday, I bumped into an ex-student with her two toddlers. I told her she looked great. Her reply? “Thanks, I had a shower today.”...
