How do I stay in my baby bubble right now?

Hi Reader,

If you've been following the global news lately, you might be feeling the weight of everything happening in the world right now.

And if you're pregnant or newly postpartum, you might be wondering how you're supposed to stay positive and focus on your baby bubble when everything feels so heavy.

Last week, a pregnant student asked this at the start of class: "How do I stay in my baby bubble with everything that's going on in the world?"

She wasn't the only one who felt this way.

My students are wondering how to find the balance between following the news, staying aware, and protecting their baby and their bubble.

My response each time is simple: You don't have to find the balance.

You may disagree with me here, but if you're pregnant or in your fourth trimester, you are allowed to block it all out if that's what you need.

Your job right now isn't to fix the world. Your job is to grow or nurture a human being.

I've made conscious choices about what I share on social media because I know pregnant and postnatal women follow me. I don't want to add to your anxiety. Instead, I practice my activism in other ways: through my personal choices, the values I teach my children, how I show up in my community.

You can do the same, in whatever small ways feel manageable right now.

Here's what I truly believe: mothers hold enormous power to shape the future.

When you model emotional regulation, you're creating an adult who can hold space for difficult feelings. This is generational change. And it starts with you doing your inner work and protecting your peace.

This is actually why I built Krish Yoga. One of the ways to do the inner work is through yoga practices that regulate your nervous system. Hypnobirthing is a method for having an empowered birth, and there's nothing more powerful than a woman giving birth!

This work is beyond yoga poses and birth plans. It's about putting the power back into mothers' hands.

I've just released a new podcast episode diving deeper into this conversation.

You can turn off the news. You can focus on yourself and your baby. You're protecting your peace and planting seeds for the world you want to see.

With love,

Krish❤️

P.S. Let me know your thoughts on this. Next week I'll do a part 2 with more practical tools.

Hey Reader, Last week we were on holiday. In large and jam-packed lift my twins were doing what my twins do, wanting to be carried at exactly the same time, by me. A woman next to me smiled. She had two daughters with her. The kind of smile that says, I see you. Then she noticed my son. "Oh, you have three?" I said, well actually four, and pointed to my daughter. She looked genuinely shocked. And then, in front of a full lift of strangers, she looked at me slowly drew her finger across her...

Hey Reader, Tomorrow is our monthly Mother's Coaching Circle. ✌️ After last month's session, Sophie (one of our members) left this comment in our members-only group: You see, Sophie had no idea what to expect from "coaching for mothers." Most people don't. Is it advice? Therapy? A support group? It's a space. 💛 A space to say the things you've been thinking but haven't said out loud. A space to rethink the stories you tell yourself about motherhood. A space where someone asks the questions...

Hey Reader, “I’m really enjoying nothing about being pregnant.” That’s what one of my students wrote to me this week. Another asked where that magical 2nd trimester glow everyone talks about is? The thick, blooming hair she's supposed to have by now? Another student's nausea came BACK at week 22 after it was supposed to disappear. And it’s not just pregnancy. On Sunday, I bumped into an ex-student with her two toddlers. I told her she looked great. Her reply? “Thanks, I had a shower today.”...
